Melodies with a Melodica

To facilitate self-regulation skills, a child who showed interest in the keyboard participated in a music activity by exploring a Melodica. Self regulation was facilitated using a visual communication board to signify how many turns the child had used. Due to his love for numbers, this language was translated using the board.

This activity reflected successes in guiding the child in the process of control of his eagerness and using a concrete visual aid, the child was able to understand how many turns he had left. This pertains to the child's overall learning goals towards communication with peers.
