Miscellaneous Monsters in the Sand

To build on children's sensitivity to sensory-based materials, I brought in kinetic sand, which mimics the grainy texture of sand but molds together like play-dough (generally does not stick to the skin), to offer another opportunity for exposure to malleable materials. The bin of sand also consisted of other extra materials including google-y eyes, a star mold, a tin bucket and a shovel. These tools were added to initiate forms of pretend play and imagination in creating monsters in the sand. This is the turn-out of this activity!
Unlike the previous activities, this was implemented in two programs where various forms of interactions were observed.
