To support children's learning in numeracy, this activity was created based on children's exploration of numbers in previous observations. The children were curious about creating number sets in their play dough activities and measuring the length of each other's legs using connecting cubes. In this activity, the children shared their favourite flavour of ice cream and used a recipe card to follow the instructions on the amount of each topping to add to create their ultimate ice cream sundae.
Materials
The materials that were used for this activity consisted of personally created templates using the graphic design software Adobe Illustrator CC 2015.
